Intoxication is a legal term used in Texas DWI cases. Under Texas law, a person is considered intoxicated when they have lost the normal use of their mental or physical faculties because of alcohol, a controlled substance, a drug, or a combination of substances, or when their alcohol concentration reaches 0.08 or more.
