Expunction

Expunction, also called expungement, is a legal process that can allow certain criminal defense records to be removed from government records and treated as though the criminal proceeding had not occurred for many purposes. Not everyone is eligible for expunction, and eligibility depends on factors such as the offense, how the case ended, and the person’s criminal defense history.
