Administrative License Revocation (ALR) is a Texas Department of Public Safety process that can result in the suspension of a person’s driver’s license after an arrest for DWI or another alcohol-related offense. An ALR suspension is a separate administrative matter from the criminal DWI case. Depending on the circumstances, a driver may have the right to request an administrative hearing to challenge the proposed suspension.
